The module usues canonical tools of understanding the nature of being and connections with the planet. It utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach and is centered around the following themes:

• Theme 1: Mandela Name, Person, intellectual legacy and Institutional Values
• Theme 2: Designing Science for Society
• Theme 3: On Makings of Gender and Sexuality
• Theme 4: Economy, Technology and Dignity
• Theme 5: Constitutionalism, Land and Ethics
• Theme 6: Health, Wellness and Progress
• Theme 7: Humanising Pedagogy: Co-existence and Common Futures
