Pricing Building Work

A 4-day Short Learning Programme (SLP) Pricing Building Work, will be offered by the NMMU Dept. of Quantity Surveying.

The aim of the SLP is to provide knowledge to various construction related financial matters.

The SLP content will be at an introductory level covering the following aspects:

  • Develop an understanding of a Building Contract
  • Basic concepts of pricing techniques and methods
  • Pricing selected trades (building-up unit rates)
  • Escalation
  • Payment Certificates
  • Final Accounts

 

Target Audience:

The course is focused on emerging contractors, site foremen and junior estimators.
